Jacek Olechowski is a private entrepreneur focused on media and advertising since 1996. He is the main shareholder and CEO of MEDIACAP SA – Poland’s largest publicly listed marketing group, owner of such brands as IQS (market research), Scholz & Friends Warszawa (advertising), The Digitals (interactive), EMLAB (events) and EDGE Technology (software). The group employs approximately 300 people serving more than 300 clients.
In the past he co-founded several successful ventures, including rankomat.pl (Poland’s #1 insurance aggregator sold to Bauer Media in 2015) and Group One SA (a leading marketing group, shares sold to a private investor in 2014).
He is the President of the International Advertising Association (Poland Chapter), where he helped launch the Industry’s first CSR program and the Advertising Ethics Committee.
In 2005 Olechowski was nominated Young Global Leader nominated by the World Economic Forum in Davos. In 2006 he joined the Polish Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. He is also a winner of the Newsweek Polska “Keep Walking” award (2007). In 2008 he was elected European Young Leader by BMW Stiftung. In 2009 Olechowski became a member of the Polish Business Roundtable – Poland’s most prominent entrepreneurs’ association, where he served as VP for two consecutive terms. “Brief” magazine listed him as one of “50 most creative Polish businesspeople” in 2010. He currently serves as the Polish Country Chair of Global Dignity - a social organization founded by HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.
Jacek Olechowski, a Polish national, was born in 1977 in Geneva, Switzerland. He holds an MA of the Warsaw School of Economics and is an alumnus of the Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University) Global Leadership & Public Policy for the 21st Century program and of the Georgetown Leadership Seminar (2010). He is married and has two sons.
